Just returned from Bibelot in Dordrecht. It was just an awesome night! Never expected to see a cover band who came so close to the original. You can be SO wrong as the copying artist, but it was really great. Shane's voice is so close to Chris' voice. Shane, thanks for the talk and the kisses and hope to see you next time in Holland! (well, maybe this weekend, going on a weekend trip close to Zwolle!)

I just wanted to say ( a little delayed I know) what a fantastic performance you gave at our FakeFest in Sandall Park earlier this year. The whole event was brilliant and changed my views on rock concerts - especially as it's the first one I've been to! Since then, we've bought Coldplay CD's - but I think you're better than them! When I hear the songs that you performed it takes me straight back to that night and the atmosphere. Well done and thanks.

This weekend I saw Coldplace perform in Hoogmade. I was extremely impressed, and so was everybody else that night. What a great band, the singer could be Chris' brother and Coldplace does songs that Coldplay don't play anymore. As a big Coldplay fan, having seen three concerts already and seeing number four in September, I can say that you guys are closer to Coldplay than I could have imagined.

Hi all, Just to say (again as I did several times after the gig on Saturday!)you were absoloutely awesome at Kyps. Having now seen you play every time at Kyps this was your best ever and you have been amazing all the other times. Shane - stop worrying about the technical probs - what technical probs! The only one we picked up on was the fire alarm! The set was brilliant, Viva La Vida was quality and it was like being in the 02 again when you started and finished with Life in Technicolour. But it was better than the 02! Guys you are amazing and we have seen some quality acts at Kyps but that was this best night I've had in the 5 years I 've been going there. It was fantastic to speak to people who have never seen you before and the spread the Coldplace word! Everyone thought you were amazing, brilliant etc. Also Lato were very good and a cracking support to start with. They have left a nice message on the Kyps website and lovely to see one from you as well - Shane - so nice to know the fantastic crowd are appreciated. Best wishes to you all and thanks for taking the time to talk to us at the bar afterwards - Apologies that last orders had happened. Will buy you all a much deserved beer next time. We literally had the best night of our career and we know that's totally down to the quality of your act and the amount of people you bring down. I spoke to a lot of people that night and so many of them were Coldplace regulars, and there's no greater testament to your work than that - one couple said they'd been to see you four times! I was standing with Kiki at the back for your whole gig, and we were both singing along and absolutely loving it - it was great. We've just seen the band at The Outback in Douglas, Isle of Man. Wow - they are brilliant. Absolutely faultless performance - really powerful. Not often you go to such a great gig where you can make eye-contact with the band! Really highly recommended.

Sorry its taken a while to post this. Took my sister to the gig at Chequer Mead. Shes a huge Coldplay fan. She didnt know where she was going so it was a complete surprise until you struck up the first chords. She was absolutely blown away by the accuracy to the original. Im not a huge fan of Coldplay, but you were absolutely superb. The sound was excellent, the vocals spot on, and a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
I would like to echo the words of the Hunt family, (who we werent sure on the night, but now realise Paul Hunt was best friend and best man at my cousin Jimmy's wedding!) and apologise for the poor turnout by the East Grinstead locals, please come back and I will make sure the venue is a lot busier.

THe experience we had las t year was great . sORRY i missed havinga drink with you during Bob Geldof but i WAS VERY BUSY DUIRNG THE CONCERT. Finally my band has finished the cd. By the way those people who do not like people who play covers of coldplay I tell them that they never really heard Coldplace playing LIVE.

With regards to our Australian Friends' comments, I think you are somewhat missing the point.

A big band like Coldplay, when touring, visit the big cities but tend to avoid the small towns. In a country like England this isn't much of an issue, everyone can get to Manchester after all. But in a place like Australia imagine trying to get to Sydney from Alice Springs. Coldplay aren't the Rolling Stones either, they don't tour constantly! Not everyone can afford to pay the prices venues demand either. For some a layout of £40-£50 a ticket (about $80-$100 in Oz money) is no problem but for people on the breadline (in England some 20% of the population live on or just above the poverty line) it is a distant dream. Having a tribute band who strive to recreate the real thing therefore provides a service to these people who want to hear live music but, for whatever reason, cannot see the real thing.

On top of that, you have to remember the band themselves are musicians and first and foremost, they want to play. As an originals outfit from a provincial seaside town, how often do you think they would get gigs? Would they have gone to Malta? Have met Bob Geldof? Have played Matthew Street? No. You act as though it is sacrilege to be a tribute act when from what I can tell, it is a brilliant thing.

And as for how would the band themselves react, is not imitation the finest form of flattery?

As A coldplay fan from West Australia, I also agree with incurable, i don't see how can you guys do this? Coldplay is Coldplay, you can't become them, a band is band, and you can't rework/remake that, trying to be them won't work. They are the best band around so be a fan, like we all are, just don't try be them.

I'm not sure what I think of this...I come from Australia, and am a very dedicated Coldplay fan, the X7Y Artwork Generator is rad as, but the whole idea....i sortof cringed at your music...what happened to individuality...and what does Coldplay actually think of this...isn't it breaching copyright laws or something?? No..i'm a bit suss about this whole idea...Coldplay fans love Coldplay for Coldplay...if we have all their albums, why would we want a copy/tribute band...it's insane...Coldplay is UK's finest...not Coldplace...if you read Coldplay's biographies, it's how they got to where they are...the stories behind the songs and gigs which make them spectacular...you can't copy that...let Coldplay be Coldplay, and don't try mimic their success....Though I completely understand your obsession

Just a note to say how much I enjoyed the gig at Mr Kyps last Friday. I absolutely love Coldplay and saw them twice on the twisted logic tour last year. I was worried the songs would be murdered (!) but I couldn't have been more wrong. We all thought you were a great imitation and even the mannerisms of Chris Martin were perfectly copied! heyyy guyss.. i came to watch the gig last night @ manoel island, not being much of a coldplay fan i must embaressingly admit i wasn't too enthusiastic about watching you play, but after the first song i was really really impressed by how much you sounded like coldplay, and you made me realise that coldplay's music isn't as bad as i thought it was! So for that i thank you! I was reading some entries in your guest book and saw that some maltese people were saying shit about your band, don't take too much notice of it though because they're probably just jealous! anyways, thanks for coming to malta again and for putting on a great show!

Never heard of Coldplace until last night,saw them in Birkenhead. My mates and myself,infact everyone else i spoke to were blown away by how good they were,not only as a tribute band,but just as a band. Fantastic.

Thanks for coming to The Brook guys, we really enjoyed the show. Some real nice touches to your show, the piano on stage, Clocks into Low, The Scientist sounded really good. Managed to grab a quick "Cracking show" and handshake with Shane at the bar afterwards. Hope you all come back soon.

What can I say? Your gig at Shout (Truro, Cornwall) was amazing! Aside from guitar trouble part way through the set, I was most impressed! Square One, Politik, Yellow, and White Shadows... how amazing is White Shadows?! You have it SPOT ON! Oh yeah, Low was a treat for the ears and I loved Warning Sign! Thanks for the dedication, Lucy let off a BIG CHEESEY GRIN when she heard it! You guys deserve to be a band in your own right, keep up the good work. Oh and sorry to Shane, I didnt stay to chat after the gig - had to run off near to the end, it was late and I had work the next day... yeah, I am a wimp! :) Cheers and bye!

Hi- instead of the shed at brierley hill why not get a gig at the rock cafe in stourbridge which is about 2 miles away from it? The shed is a shithole full of deadbeat chav twats and your feet stick to the carpet. I would love to see you play in a venue that is full and the atmosphere is far better.That place is the rock cafe.Just a sugestion....good luck to you, love the site

I like Coldplay , I don't mind that their are tribute bands , thats ok and cool, would like to play also in one . But please like it has said before dont totaly fake them especially the singer.In that movie al these little talks are to much of the real chris.Its like the soundmixshow.
